Update // COVID-19: Gov. Masari orders total lockdown in Buhari’s village, Daura

The Katsina State government has ordered a total lockdown in Daura Local Government area.This is following thedeath of Dr Aliyu Yakubufrom COVID-19 complications.The decision was made to curtail the further spread of the pandemic to other parts of the state.Governor Aminu Bello Masari disclosed this during a press briefingin the state on Friday,The order is to take effect from 7am Saturday, 11th April 2020.“The results indicated that, out of the twenty-three cases referred to NCDC, three were reported positive.“Those affected include, the wife and two children of the deceased,” Masari said.Masari added that three of the patients would be quarantined at thedesignated isolation centre at the Federal Medical Centre in Katsina.
